Olive Pomace Oil, A Key Ingredient For Deep Frying

Olive pomace oil is a mixture between virgin and extra virgin oils with refined pomace oil. The mix results in an oil with the ideal flavor, color and aroma for frying. It is true that olive-pomace oil is of an inferior quality to the one of extra virgin olive oil. For this same reason, it is also cheaper, but for once, the cheap does not come out expensive. Here are some recommendations and uses of olive-pomace oil: Deep frying Many fast food restaurants have industrial sized deep fryers to whip out batches every few minutes quickly. Deep frying food in extra virgin olive oil is costly and will change the flavor of what’s being cooked, so these restaurants opt to usepomace olive oil. It’s similar to deep frying in Canola or sunflower oil. Food styling Have you ever wondered why food in magazines and restaurant catalogs look so good? It’s because they’re made up. Fruits and vegetables aren’t nearly as glossy and saturated in person. To give the illusion of light-reflecting or glossy food, food stylists brush and a thin layer of pomace olive oil on the food subject and buff it in until the fruit starts to shine. A plant-based alternative for fat in baking Guests who have dietary restrictions will often ask the staff if they can offer dairy-free versions of their favorite baked goods, be it bread rolls or biscuits. Because pomace olive oil is so light and so neutral, it makes the perfect fat substitute. And it doesn’t taste any different than baking bread rolls with butter! The uses of olive-pomace oil have no limit! And if you need help getting supplies from olive pomace oil, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will gladly assits you.

What Are Monounsaturated Fats?

What Are Monounsaturated Fats?

You’ve probably heard before that extra virgin olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, and you probably didn’t know what to make of it. That could be because“monounsaturated fats” isn’t technically a household term. But the fact that it appears on countless article and publication lists addressing the benefits of Aceite de Oliva must mean it contributes to better health. Understanding the concept of consuming healthy fats and its role in better health can tell us more about why it’s so crucial to purchase olive oil. What are monounsaturated fats and how exactly can they address health issues? The role of fats Fats provide energy, protect organs, support cell growth, and keep our bodies warm. Fats are also responsible for producing important hormones like leptin. When people think about losing weight and going on fad diets, they usually do their best to avoid fats. News flash: our bodies need fats! When it comes to going on diets, we should be looking into what kind of fats we’re consuming, instead of avoiding it altogether. This is because fats affect your cholesterol levels, and depending on what kind of fats you’re consuming, it can be good or bad for your health. What are monounsaturated fats? Monounsaturated fats are a type of dietary fats we consume. They are usually regarded as healthy fats, along with polyunsaturated fats, as they can lower bad cholesterol levels in your body. This is the opposite of what trans fats and saturated fats do. Consuming high levels of unhealthy fats increases the risk of heart disease and even cancer, which is why nutritionists recommend consuming healthy fats instead. This diet includes—you guessed it—olive oil. What kind of olive oil contains monounsaturated fats? Extra virgin olive oil contains high levels of monounsaturated fats. Unlike Aceite Refinado de Oliva where the healthy fats are refined as well, extra virgin olive oil retains its nutrients. While not ideal for high heat, it is sufficient for low to medium-heat cooking. Extra virgin olive oil also contains high levels of polyunsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats are healthy fats that lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. And where better to find high levels of monounsaturated fats than in olive oil? Replace unhealthy fats with good fats today. Contact us for a supply of olive oil today!

How To Check Extra Virgin Olive Oil?

Extra virgin olive oil is called “liquid gold” for a reason. Unlike Aceite Refinado de Oliva, extra virgin olive oil is extremely sensitive to light and heat. Exposure to either one may alter its form and rid the oil of its countless benefits. Regardless of its delicate nature, extra virgin olive oil is extremely versatile. And though extra virgin olive oil undergoes a rigid production process and evaluation, it can still fall victim to fraud. So how can you be sure you don’t purchase fake extra virgin olive oil? Here are some measures you can take. Check the certification Not all olive oils can be labeled “extra virgin”. Producing extra virgin olive oil involves a rigorous process, and has to be evaluated by various entities. When a bottle is granted a seal of authenticity, you can be a little surer of your olive oil. Check the harvest date The harvest date determines how fresh the olive oil is. A good rule of thumb to remember is that while wine gets better with age, extra virgin olive oil does not. The harvest date can tell you how much time has passed from the harvest of the olive fruit and production process to the bottling of olive oil. This is crucial because extra virgin olive oil should be consumed a year and a half after the fruit was harvested. Many brands get their olives sourced from different farms from all over the world, which can affect the freshness, regardless of its harvest date. Purchasing directly from a private label olive oil supplier saves you the trouble of worrying about the freshness of its ingredients. Check the bottle The packaging can tell you a lot about extra virgin olive oil’s quality, and it can easily give away a fake. Never purchase extra virgin olive oil stored in light-colored bottles. Why? Extra virgin olive oil is sensitive to light and heat, and without proper storage, it can be easily ruined. That’s why legitimate extra virgin olive oils are stored in dark-colored bottles to make sure they aren’t as easily exposed to light. It’s all in the packaging! Here are just some ways you can be extra sure of your extra virgin olive oil and its authenticity. If anything, you can count on us to supply you with authentic, high-quality olive oil.

Healthy And Tasty Sandwiches

Healthy And Tasty Sandwiches

Para hacer un buen sándwich hay que combinar:With the arrival of heat the eating habits change … We go out more to eat outside to enjoy the good weather and we want fresher and lighter foods. We also usually prepare more and more sandwiches, which, if prepared well, are a balanced option to take to the beach or picnic. In this post we will show that fast food is not synonymous with unhealthy! To make a good sandwich you have to prepare: Carbohydrate ration (choose 1): One of the main ingredients of this delicacy is bread, we advise you to choose wholemeal bread, which provides more fiber, more vitamins and more satiety than white bread. For example: Whole-grain bread, whole-grain bread, integral thin, whole-grain toast, whole-grain corn pancakes … Protein ration (choose 1): We recommend low-fat protein such as sliced turkey, grilled chicken, ham … There are also options for ovolactovegetarians such as chickpea humus, hard-boiled egg, fresh cheese or smoked tofu. And for those who want a source of w-3,you can prepare smoked salmon, natural tuna or pickled sardines. Vegetable ration (free choice): It is important to add this group of foods because it will add volume to the sandwich without adding excess calories, if you notice, the amount is FREE! It will also increase the fiber and antioxidant content. We give you some examples: Lettuce, tomato, eggplant, zucchini, onion, ratatouille, red pepper, escalibada, mushrooms, asparagus, pickles … Healthy fat ration (choose 1): When we talk about healthy fat we refer mainly to unsaturated fat, which we have commented in our other posts. This helps us to lower cholesterol if its consumption is done replacing saturated fats. In other words, it is healthier to make our sandwich with extra virgin olive oil, nuts or avocado than to spread it with butter. Our favorite example is the whole wrap of smoked salmon, with arugula, pickles and walnuts. Dressed with olive cachet and mustard. And yours? Tell us which one is your favorite!

Two Of The Best Aging Italian Wines

You’ve probably heard that the older wines get, the better they taste. But did you know not all wines get better with age? There is an exception for Italian wines, as Italy produces excellent quality wine that can age up to 70 years. No surprise there since there are over 500 grape varieties in the Italian region, making Italy one of the top countries for wine production. For budding wine enthusiasts and beginners, the thought of tasting the finest vinos importados de Italia sounds like a hefty challenge. But when it comes to collecting wine, you might want to start with one of the world’s best. Here are two of the best Italian wines for aging. Sangiovese Italian wine is made to be paired with meals. A prime example of this is the Chianti. This dry red paired with food is a match made in heaven. Chianti wines are produced from Chianti in Tuscany and contain at least 80 percent Sangiovese grapes. Sangiovese grapes have the ability to adapt to their environment. Chianti Classico wines’ aroma is somewhat earthy like dried cherries, roses, or figs. Sangiovese wines like Chianti Classico typically pair well with a variety of food due to its savoury flavour. Look for the Classico label on Chianti bottles as classico wines have been identified to hold for up to ten years. Sagrantino Sagrantino wines have some of the most complex characteristics. It’s also known to be very healthy as it contains one of the highest levels of antioxidants in any red wine. This wine type is found in only one region of the world called Umbria in Italy. Sagrantino wines usually take time to age, even after popping open a bottle. There are a lot of varieties of Italian wine, and a lot of them are considered the best in the world. The Main Nutrients Of The Vegetarian Diet

We all know more or less the concept of vegetarian diet: It could be defined as a diet that enhances the consumption of vegetable foods and abstains or decreases products of animal origin. This type of food has a clear upward trend … But is it really a healthy eating option? Well the answer is yes, as long as we do them in a balanced way. According to the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and other public health institutions well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, and are a nutritionally healthy choice, but if they are performed incorrectly they can cause health problems. When you stop eating certain foods, there are some nutrients that we have to pay more attention to: Let’s get to know some of the main ones! Nutrient Calcium If dairy products (cheese or milk) are not included in the vegetarian diet, we would have to increase the consumption of green leafy vegetables (broccoli, spinach, white beans, kale …) to obtain this nutrient. In addition, there are options for vegetable drinks enriched in calcium. Iron The iron that comes from vegetable foods (iron not emo) has less assimilation. But there is a trick to improve this absorption: Eat it in the same meal with foods rich in vitamin C (tomato, pepper, citrus) and avoid the intake of calcium-rich foods (yogurt or milk sauces) Vitamin B12 Vitamin B12 in a vegan diet can only be contributed either by the intake of supplements or by fortified foods such as, for example: cereals, vegetable drinks, nutritional yeast, etc. Foods such as seaweed, fermented soy, or tofu have been credited as sources of vitamin B12, but studies show that it has no true vitamin activity. Vitamin D This vitamin is very important since it regulates the passage of calcium to bone. In a vegetarian diet your main intake is in enriched drinks, but the best way to avoid deficiency of this vitamin is through a 30-minute daily exposure to the sun. Finally, remember that, in this type of diets, what we discussed in the previous post is important: We can obtain protein of high biological value (equivalent to animal protein) from a correct combination of vegetable protein.

Valentine’s Day Recipes Using Olive Oil

Valentine’s Day Recipes Using Olive Oil

Love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, which means everywhere around the world, wine will be shared as dinners will be served. Romantic meals call for the best recipes, and that also means there shouldn’t be any shortage of the healthiest ingredients.Olive oil can make its way through any and every meal! Here are some dishes you can cook with olive oil. Aglio E Olio We all know the Italians are famous for both pasta and their love of olive oil. In fact, this is one of the most basic pasta sauces you can make. Start by cooking the spaghetti in boiling salted water until its texture is al dente—or chewy. While the noodles are being cooked, prepare the sauce by heating olive oil up in low heat, then fry the garlic for about one to two minutes. Afterwards, finely chop one chili and do the same for flat-leafed parsley or basil. Add two tablespoons of cooking water to the olive oil and mix the chili and parsley/basil in. Finish by seasoning with salt for three minutes, stirring every now and then. Perfect wine pairing: Any classic Italian red wine, nothing that a trusted Spanish wine exporter can’t supply you with. Organic orange olive oil cake For a sweet but healthy dessert, an orange cake might just do the trick! Orange cakes go way back from traditional sponge cakes that use oranges as popularized in Valencia, Spain. The key ingredient is a Valencia orange, meshing well with the flavours of almonds and olive oil. Mix two cups of organic sugar with equal parts water in a medium saucepan in medium to high heat. After the sugar dissolves, put two whole oranges and one lemon in the pan. If the mixture doesn’t cover 2/3 of the fruit, add some more sugar and equal parts water. Let the fruits simmer for an hour thirty minutes to two hours. After, let the oranges cool and slice them up into wedges. Remove the inedible parts.Place the almonds in a food bowl processor and grind them up until they are fine. Transfer the almonds in a bowl and mix it with flour and baking powder. Then, grease olive oil on a round cake pan, heat it up to 350 degrees, and position the rack in the middle of the oven. Put four eggs and salt in a bowl, and beat with a whisk on medium high for three minutes. While whisking, add 1 ½ cups of sugar and olive oil. Add also the pureed fruit and mix until everything is well-blended. Fold in the flour mixture until everything is smooth.Pour the mixture into the cake pan, and let it bake in the oven for an hour until it reaches a golden brown colour. There are many recipes using olive oil you can try this Valentine’s day. You can even experiment with new dishes. But because high quality olive oil is hard to come by, you might not know where to get the best supplies. Get stocks of great quality olive oil from private label olive oil exporter L&P Global.
